Took our 2 youngest (11 & 9 yo) to the County Fair today. Saw at least
3!!!! babies being BF around the fairgrounds none of which were being
covered with a blanket or anything. All were discreet but it was obvious
they were nursing. None were under about 6 months, I'd guess!!! It was
great...they all got big smiles! Made me think of a few things: 1) Darn!
Forgot to wear my "Loving Support" tshirt as I had intended and 2) Can't
figure out why I never put a booth up for WBW there!! Plan to next year as
County fair is always this week!!!
Other things we've done this week: Gold ribbons for staff, BF gift packs
with educational messages to all pts who deliver this week(even ABM
moms),and a family picnic for the bf support group families on Thursday. I
am considering writing an article with info on what we put in our gift packs
and why. Any of you attend the Baby Friendly Conf at Michigan a few years
ago? You may have seen them there...what do you think?
