Can't you see the headlines: Breastfeeding Zealots Hire Lawyer Over
Fictional Story about Baby Friendly

I do see and acknowledge your point. On the other hand, the bald and
manipulative misrepresentation of BFHI in the show was quite serious in
nature. It was definitely suggested that BFHI (which they used *by name* and
got wrong in every detail) led to a baby's death. The harm done to BFHI could
be terrible. I gurantee you that if they had twisted the facts concerning some
other non-profit in the same way -- for example if they had done a show on how
the March of Dimes might have killed a pregnant woman -- they would be hearing
from the MOD's lawyers.
As a breastfeeding advocate, I believe that we should --when appropriate -- be
confidently and calmly outspoken in our views. We worry a great deal about not
being seen as "zealots" when in fact, we are simply speaking the truth and
supporting women and babies, even when they can't or won't breastfeed. I
refuse to accept anti-breastfeeding forces' labels ("zealotry". "militant").
They take away my voice and obviate my message.
