 what they are looking for is the severity of the reflux.. they want to know
how often he refluxes and how long the fuids from the stomach stay up in the
esophagus.

  are they giving this child a general in order to insert the tubing? isn't
clear liquid 2 hours?

  the parents might inquire what information will be gained and more
importantly what course of action will be taken... if this is an information
gathering only then they may want to consider waiting.

   maloox is a wonderful substance for reflux.
