I'm a new subscriber to Lactnet and I have really enjoyed reading it
this last week. What a great tool, I can't believe I waited so long to get
on it.
I'm a LLL Leader in Albuquerque, been a Leader for 21 years and have
done a ton of jobs. I also have been a pump rental station for over 10
years and own Breastfeeding Resources, mainly pumps, sales, and some
consults, more of the hand holding variety. Also, IBCLC, I'm pretty proud
of that! I'm very active in the NM Breastfeeding Task Force and work on our
conference every spring. I seem to specialize in adoptive nursing and
working moms, and I'm pretty good at diagnosing that nasty thrush. But I've
already learned alot about g/v this week, more than I've ever thought about.
It isn't prescribed much locally.
I am looking for definitions for Breastfeeding Advocate and
Breastfeeding Activist. Can't seem to find them in any books or articles
and have been searching the internet too. I'd like to use the definitions
in an article and would prefer an accepted definition. You can e-mail me
with your suggestions.
