So how do you sterilize shields in the states?  I only do what I was
taught, which in South Africa (where I trained) and here in Australia
(where I know live)  is to soak shields in milton, replace them about
every 3 months unless they deteriorate prior to this time.  Anything
other than this practice I have not been made aware of.  Do you in
hospital situations with mums using shields, give a shield to a
mum and charge her for it then that is hers, even if it is a temporary
shield usage, ie. 24 hours say.?
