<< okay, shamelessly off topic, so what if thanksgiving dinner is bland?
here's a
secret, old family recipe. make a giant quantity of whiskey sours (a drink in
which cheap whiskey is mixed with a "mix" which includes sweet and sour
tastes, a terrible thing to drink really when there is good scotch everywhere
in the world, and single malt whiskeys of every sort). put turkey in the
oven.
everytime you open the oven door to baste the turkey, have another drink.
dinner will taste fine.
oh, i can make this about breastfeeding - wait - remember that too much sage
can decrease milk supply. don't put sage in the drinks. >>
Carol, thanks so much for the chuckle. I spent the day at the University of
Chicago, and just fought rain & rush hour traffic for an almost 2 hour drive
home. Now I know why I generally work out of my home, and why the hospital
where I see moms is only three miles away!!!
Jan Barger -- who is tired and cranky from rush hour.
