Dear Jane,
I was most appreciative of your post on the many ways to persuade a
breastfed infant to accept a bottle. I was very fortunate to be able to stay
home and/or work very part time when my children were nursing and never had to
use a pump or an alternative feeding method. My obligation to those who look
to me for advice is not to impose my own values or political viewpoint, it is
to provide them with the information they need for their own situation. This
is a very real problem for many women and am all for doing anything possible
to prevent early weaning.
