Dear Jeanette, I try to explain to moms in this situation (sleep 12 hrs,
nurse 12 x in 12 hours) that it is a trade off. The reward is "sleep all
night" the unreward is nurse every hour on the hour! The baby is usually
going to get their 8-12 nursings per 24 hours no matter what you do. I
liked your idea of keeping baby near the cafeteria. I've also had moms
set alarm and deliberately get up and feed at 3 am. It usually begins to
level off and tincture of time helps alot. Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
