This question is for Dr. Hale , Dr. Neuman, or anyone who can give me
information
I have a nursing Mom who has been on Prozac since baby was born. First 10
mgm then increasing it to 20 mgm daily. Her baby is now close to 6 months,
seems to be doing well except for some reflux that is slowly improving as
he gets older. I have been seeing him for all of his well check ups for the
last 6 months. Mom has introduced cereal and is starting other solids. He
still is nursing several times a day. The mom
would like to increase her prozac up to 40 mgm daily. Should I advise her
to do that?
Mom feels she really needs to increase her dose. Prior to birth was on 40
mgm daily.
Any feedback would be helpful, either privately or posted.
My name is Joy Motsiff. I work as a PNP and Lactation Consultant in
private pediatric practice. I have already searched the archives and found
info on prozac but not what I need.
This is the first time I have posted but I have been reading all the
postings
and feel I have increased my knowledge base alot. Thanks to all of
you.
