I have a client whose arthitis only responds to clinoril and not to any of the
other NSAIDs. Can she still breastfeed? The baby is one year old and
breastfeeds infrequently. Clinoril is not mentioned in Tom Hale's 1997
edition. The PDR specically states it's not advisable because of clinoril''s
secretion in lactating rats breast milk, whereas the PDR does not specifically
advise against other NSAIDs such as Lodine (probably because no lactation
studies were done on Lodine). Any help would be appreciated.
