Jack's post about low supply at 4-5 months caught my attention. Babies at
4-5 months are notorius for pulling off the breast frequently and being
easily distracted. Just as mom starts to let-down the baby pulls off and
wiggles around in her lap. Many a mother has misinterpeteted this to mean
her baby was not interested in eating. Hence the low supply. I suggest that
mom makes certain that at least a couple times a day she and baby retire to
a quiet room, pull the shades, no noise no distractions. Baby has nothing to
look at so he can more easily get in a descent feeding. Dee Keith, IBCLC,
