Dear Dawn
One study on methotrexate. One women was given 22,5 mg of methotrexate once.
Max level in milk : 2,7 µg/l. Max ratio milk/plasma : 0,08. Cumulative dose
in milk In the 12 hours after absorption : 0,32 µg. Pediatric dose : 20 to
30 mg/m2/week.
Methotrexate pass very low in milk. Hight toxicity. Told here to be
contrindicated if given to high doses for cancer, but that BF is possible is
given at low dose for another pathology (7,5 to 25 mg/week, dermatologic or
rhumatologic use). In this case, better to give folic acid to the chid, and
to supervise blood cells.
Hope this help
Kindly
