My 9 y.o. son's athlete's foot got me wondering...is the microorganism
that causes athlete's foot related to those that cause thrush, vaginal
yeast infections, scaly diaper rash, etc? There seems to be a rash (no
pun intended) of thrush questions lately, many from the US, where it is
quite hot still in many places, a perfect time, I would think, for
athlete's foot. Is it possible that a mom (or dad or baby, I guess?)
could have a mild case of athlete's foot, but not so bad to cause the
pain and itching that prompt someone to make a close inspection of the
spaces between the toes, that it could be related to persistent thrush?
Is athlete's foot topical, or systemic (I would suspect it depends on
how serious the case...)?
One of those "inquiring minds want to know" situations...
