Eight years ago, before we adopted our second son, I started pumping in
hopes of breastfeeding our 10 day old son. Once he arrived, I used a
lactaid for several weeks and did obtain a scanty milk supply.
Of more interest however, was that after 9 years of infertility
workups/treatments, I became pregnant after 'weaning' my son at 6 weeks
of age. Imagine my surprise and delight! I still feel that the
pumping/nursing had something to do with it!

Now the mother of 4 sons, two adopted and two by birth. We had another
little surprise when my breastfeeding third son started solids! I guess
I never thought it could happen to me...
