Positive media attention to BFing:
On our local news at noon they featured a quick video shot of a Bijon dog
bfing a stray kitten that, in the newscaster's words, needed milk. He went
on to say +ACI-Forget the container, the Bijon quickly adopted the kitten as if
it were her own. She never had pups of her own. Maternal instinct
apparently knows no boundaries.+ACI-
It brought back memories of our Siberian Husky feeding our two kittens
several years back, which I posted about in Lactnet in 96
(GETPOST LACTNET95-96 15987). When we adopted the kittens, we were told
they'd been weaned two weeks before. All three animals apparently decided
they enjoyed the bfing relationship, and continued uneventfully for some
time. No SNS used though +ADw-grin+AD4-.
