I think I've news. I have it from hearsay, but.....
yesterday on the news on television, there was a report about a World
Conference for Pediatricians. The news was that the peds decided to *not*
follow the recent recommendation from WHO/Unicef and UNAID regarding
providing formula for baby's from HIV mothers in developing countries, but
they find that breastfeeding is still the prefered food for baby's. Now, is
this news or not?
disclaimer: I haven't seen it myself, I heard it. the newsitem seems to be
a bit confusing, since the reporters didn't seem to realize what it was all
about. They showed the two Dutch formula producers who were present at the
conference and they were also joking with the message of Adrienne de Reede
(from the Dutch BFHI institute), when she told that breastfeeding is the
best food for baby's.
