Aloha Karen,
The following information is from LLLI's reprint, How to Know Your
Full-Term Breastfed Baby is Getting Enough Milk.
"Your baby may have only one or two wet diapers during the first day or
two after birth. Beginning about the third or fourth day, your baby will
have at least 6 to 8 wet cloth diapers (5 to 6 disposables)."
"Your baby will pass meconium, the greenish-black, tarry first stool,
over the first day or two. Baby will begin having at least 2 to 5 bowel
movements a day beginning about the third day after birth."
There is more info about weight gain and increasing your supply. This
reprint comes in a convenient tear-off pad of 50 sheets. I give these
out to all our pregnant/ new moms.
Hope this helps.
Aloha,
Gloria Thai Honolulu, O'ahu, Hawai'i located 20 degrees North of the
Equator
