I don't think anyone really knows how fenugreek works. I think, as with
many medications tachyphylaxis (how's that for a word?) may occur with
fenugreek. Tachyphylaxis, if I'm not mistaken, means that tolerance
develops.
Of course, there are other things in your daughter's daily schedule which
might result in her having a decreased supply. She could add blessed
thistle, or domperidone which works particularly well at this stage of
lactation. If the baby is also getting the other stuff, you know the "f"
word, then I would replace it with solid food at four months.
