There was a question as to how many baby friendly hospitals there may be in
USA. The BFHI News of September 1997 states that 11 hospitals were
designated baby-friendly and about 60 more hold "certificates of intent".
The April 1998 issue of BFHI News gives notes of a new publication 1997
PRogress Report, Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiatives, in which an update on
progress in BFHI is given for 117 countries, and this report is available
from the UNICEF Nutrition Section, 3 UN Plaza, TA-24A, New York, NY 10017,
USA.
