Diane,
I have a friend who delivered twins at 32 weeks after weeks of
betamethosone, mag sufate and breathine. It took her ten days plus to get
any milk. ( I know that she had a hospital grade pump but I do not know the
details of how much breast stimulation she was getting. The babies were not
going to the breast. They did not go for weeks....sigh... ) She was told
by the staff in the NICU that it was because of the betamethosone. I have
not been able to find any thing any where ele to support this or explain
this.

Maybe some one else can help us figure it out.
Any NICU nurses or Level 3 hospital LCs know more about this ?????
