Saw a baby yesterday, 5 days old, has lost about a pound from birthweight.
Lousy tongue action, lots of tongue to roof of mouth so we are working on
all that to get the feeds going well.

One observation--never seen before- On the inner, his left ,mucous side of
the lower lip there appeared to be a skin tag, definitely raised, this
little blup of skin, whitish in color, not a blister look. Then in the
midline section of the inner lip, sort of in the trough of lip to gums,
several teeny whitish bumps that almost look like they could go to a
pimple or raise up a bit but right now just a cluster of little bumps.
Don't know if I would have even given those little bumps a notice except
for seeing this skin taggish thing. Sorry I don't have the precise anatomy
terms for this area--anybody seen anything like I am describing?
