This is another area of dogmatic advise that increases the perception that
breastfeeding is very difficult. If a baby is nursing from the breast and
mostly having supplemental bottles of expressed milk, risk of impaired iron
absorption from a small quantity of mixed milk would be very, very small.
Why not tell the mom and day care provider to do whatever is easiest, if
mixing both in one feed is easier- go for it. CAthy
