My two favorite books for residents, which I have purchased for our
residency library, are Hale's book (I get a new one every year) and The
Breastfeeding Answer Book. Both are relatively inexpensive
(especially if one has a LLL discount) accessible and quick for looking up
things. I have Lawrence and Riordan and Auerbach available for reference
as well, but in a primary care residency, problem-based quick references
are the best (as well described previously).
