I only have one doctor that I work with the give wrong info on a regular
basis, although he is getting a "little" better...
I provide mom with a copy of the article (or several articles) that
backs up what I am telling her , I then tell her to ask her MD for the
same to back up what he says.....
I recently worked with a mom and she called me in a panic , her ped told
her she may need to stop bf for 24 - 4 hours because of breastmilk
jaundice, so I pulled out all the breastmilk jaundice info I had and she
made her own decision. She was informed when she talked to the doc and
was much more comfortable with that , mom is also an RN.
