This post brought back memories of one of my first LLL calls which
came at 3am many years ago. The mother was crying and said she
had been bitten by a large flying insect which had caused a red lump
on her nipple ! I told her I didn't have any experience in this area but
suggested that she may want to hand express on that side and feed on the
other until she could speak to her doctor in the morning.

Unfortunately she did not call me back and I had neglected to get her
phone number, however my GP said it would have been helpful to
know what the insect was, and said he probably would have told her to
pump on that side for 24 hours, depending on what it was.
