Having had the privilege of working with Dr Jack for many years
I have seen many women with breast lumps. Sometimes he knows
exactly what is going on but if he is suspicious he does a needle
aspiration and takes out fluid ( green, brown, black or white etc )
Fortunately he has colleagues who will drain abscesses and
usually leave the breast to drain for a few days.
We did see one woman who had three abscesses one after the other
who did eventually go on to have a happy bf experience. With small
incisions the breasts usually heal well.
It has been my experience that moms who are susceptible to abscesses
are often overdoing things and refusing to rest.
