Our hospital is a level II nursery and we dont do any neonatal surgeries
there, they are referred to our regional hospital, but I have recently
worked with two breastfeeding moms whose babies had heart surgery, one
had transposition of the great vessels and the second is still in the
hospital , the first is breastfeeding beautifully at the breast, mom
even took fenugreek for a while to increase supply and docs approved
this the second baby just came home and is working on learning to nurse
at the breast.....
