I just got back from a trip to DC as my wife attended an accounting/ health care finance type conference. Thank God for the DC zoo and the Smithsonain !
There I was in pediatric withdraw only to go to the zoo and come out of the primate house and see a mom across the way breastfeeding on a bench. She wasnt openly doing it but to the trained eye looked like a picture out of a M***la brouchue. I saw another mom BF at the info center. Thank you to both.
During a visit to the Smithsonain Natural hx museum our 15 month old needed to nurse. So I said to my wife, you can just find a semi secluded spot and feed him, as we walked out of the dinosaur exhibit. So what does she do but walk into the rotunda, sit down on a bench and start nursing him. Not that I have any objection to her publicly feeding but by the dinosaur exhibit? I told her I thought she should do this infront of the other mammals.
