Roni:
How do they know for certian that these babies were infected from the milk
and not transplacentally?
How do they know that if mom had stopped bf that these babies would not
have seroconverted?
What is the chance of babies contracting other serious illness if not bf?
How does this 5% stack up against other causes of morbidity and
mortality?
How many infants die of abuse? neglect? ( just last week we had one die in
chicago from lack of feeding.... baby did not like the formula so mom did not
feed) how many infants/children die in car accident because they are not
belted in?
I think that 5% needs to be put into perspective.
