Hi all,

I'm gearing up to do another 16-month calendar for World Breastfeeding Week
and am looking for the following:

1. Dates of importance to the lactation or childbirth community. These can
include be major (national or large regional) meetings, conferences,
historical events, publication dates, etc. I especially want information
from outside the USA.

2. National birthdays or anniversaries (i.e. Canada Day, July 1) or other
national special days.

3. Celebrations or recognition days or weeks that can be tied to
breastfeeding or birthing (i.e., National Osteoporosis week May 11 in the
USA)

4. Quotations (short!) that might be of interest to lactation consultants,
childbirth educators, midwives, families, and/or perinatal health workers.
These do not need to be related to breastfeeding or birthing, although they
should have some relevance to parenting, new ideas, health, etc. You can
quote yourself if you have a great one-liner. If you quote someone else, get
their permission. Published quotes are OK.

5. Any new research articles on diseases/health conditions that are less
common in breastfed babies. Especially welcome are good studies reporting on
the costs of infant feeding. If you're really wonderful, fax or mail me the
entire article. If you don't have time, just the citation will do.
