After reading Jay's post on where the gentian violet is dark or light
purple, I had my 13 year old who has a LOVELY (yuk yuk) case of oral thrush
come over and open her mouth. She has several dark purple circles of GV on
the roof of her mouth, a couple speckles on the back of her throat, and a
whole hodge podge of color on her tongue which is where she has the most
complaints right now. I think I agree though-- where there are obvious
yeastie beasties, there seems to be a concentration of the gentian.

Now ,however, we have done the three days of one application of GV a
day--and I think we're stuck with following through with the oral nystatin
liquid for the next 7--- when do you think we should try the Gentian Violet
again?
