Anne,
IS the baby hypoglycemic? Has the baby's blood sugar been tested, or is
this just a theory to explain a chubby baby? Some fully breastfed babies
who are allowed to regulate their feeds - including their solids - do
become very heavy and rolly-polly. Once they start becoming mobile
(crawling and walking), they gain in height, but hold steady on their
weight. They become very healthy and solid toddlers.

I don't believe I've ever come across an outer limit of weight on a
breastfed child, at which point we would say the baby had gained too
much.

Again, is the hypoglycemia documented? I think the MD is grasping at
straws.
