So, along with the GV I have been

Is there any other

>injured nipple regardless of the yeast" type of thing?

Jay, I have been recommending OTC cortisone cream for the "yeast slit"
along with the GV and it has been most effective. You can apply it after
the white vinegar/water rinse after each feeding. It hastens the healing.
You don't have to wash it off. If you want to do anything, you can stand
over the sink and rinse with clear warm water before feeding.

I got the idea from one of my "good," yeast-serious doctors who had a nasty
case of yeast overgrowth herself.

Dr. Rob, I recommend rinsing with a solution of 1 T *white* vinegar in 1 C.
water after each feeding. The vinegar doesn't kill yeast, but creates a ph
that discourages yeast growth. I also recommend having this solution at the
changing area for rinsing baby's diaper area after each change. Do I have
to say that it is a different bowl of solution? The cotton ball that is
used for swabing is not but back into the solution.

I did read on Lactnet that breastmilk is antifungal, but I find that hard
to believe with all of the persistent yeast problems that we have to deal
with. I feel that the yeast thrives on this sweet, nurturing liquid.
