Janna,

My first guess about high bilirubin would be Gilbert's syndrome which
affects some people and they usually don't even know it until they do
routine blood tests. It's a type of jaundice which generally has no
symptoms except elevated bilirubin levels. It tends to run in
families. We know that fasting and stress- both phyical and
psychological (post-partum?/bfn link?) can cause the bili to rise.
If the liver tests show up normal, I'd go to a specialist and ask about
Gilbert's.
