<< So often a Mum will call me, to say everything has been going well
but that day her baby is fussy, feeding "constantly" or "hourly" and
"won't settle". The babies are usually in their first few weeks,
usually the second or third week, but babies are individuals. >>
Keep in mind also that about the second or third week these babes have a
growth spurt. I explain growth spurts to mom and just tell her to take a
"vacation day", and snuggle in with a pitcher of water, a good book or TV
remote, and the baby. Reassuring her that this is normal and will only last a
day or two, is just what she wants to know!
