Since reading an article on mom's who dont tell anyone theyre
still BF (I cant remember title or publication but it was done
by leaving questionaires on tables at a LLLI conference)
I've begun reenforcing the idea of breastfeeding as long as
mom and baby want when I see baby's at 6 months.
I do this at 2 weeks also but the article pointed at 6 months
as when US mom's start getting the "to old the BF"
ideas
thrown at them by the ignorant.
Amazing how openly ignorant some health care
professionals
can be. I dont tell parents their child needs surgury, I get
a surgical opinion.
