to the mom who had a bad episiotomy. Poo on the Doc that blames his poor
performance- suturing and probably delivery style, on breastfeeding and moms
hormones. She didn't cut herself- s/he did. Time she stood on her feet and
demand he do something. Learn perineal massage and more conducive positions
other than lithotomy for birth. I realize that sometimes these things are
necessarry. How about a breastmilk douche or poultice on her bottom. Its
healing soothing and will help fight infection. Guess Douche is not the
word for it but put some EBM in a squirt bottle and squirt the EBM on the
bottom.
Yes check for suture allergy and all that stuff. We are to quick to blame
moms for something that is doing nothing but providingthe best nourishment
for her children. Also tell her to ge a child's swim ring and inflate it
and use it to sit on for a while. that will take some pressure off the bum.
