Hi All,
Well, I too have the thrush monster on the nipples, not a bad case as I
don't seem to ever have any probs with it (this is my first problem in 12
yrs). ANyway, there has been some pain on the right nipple and I finally
figured out why it was hurting so much when PJ BF. Just above the base of
the nipple (on the nipple) there is a 1/4 in slit, which gets pulled apart
when PJ nurses, and of course, HURTS! So, along with the GV I have been
using (with good results) for the past 3 days, (once a day) what else can I
use to help this slit heal, without compromising the effects of the GV? I
have some hydrogel-type bandages I can put on while PJ is not
nursing...would they have a neg effect on the yeast? Is there any other
treatment I can use (and also reccomend to other moms who end up in this
situation) or is this simply a "treat it as you would normally treat an
injured nipple regardless of the yeast" type of thing?

Thanks!
