I suppose it depends on how you define "advertising directly to the
customer."  They may not put ads in magazines, but they definitely target
the customer with their formula clubs, which they both have.  The
advertising is available in lots of obs' and peds' offices.  I thought I've
also seen them in magazines, but maybe not.

We made a point of signing up for them -- we got a free teddy bear from
Ross for doing so.  I figure, let them spend all that money on me, since I
know it'll be a waste anyway.  Then we donated all the formula we got to
the local women's shelters, knowing that there are women there who need it,
and who are already using formula.
