Hi Everybody:
My friend was diagnosed with inflamatory breast cancer in the 28th week of
her second pregnancy. She went for care as soon as she felt the lump, and it
had already metastized to her pelvis. She was induced at 35 weeks, and birthed
her second daughter. She tried everything; all sorts of experimental protocols
from NIH. The best they could promise her was three years. She died 11 days
before that baby's 1st birthday. Some of the chemotherapy made all the lining
of her alimentary canal slough away, from mouth to anus. Human milk was
soothing to her, and provided relief. Something to say for that. I say go for
it....no one would question giving the milk of a ruminant to an adult human.
In fact, we are encouraged to "do the right thing" and ingest lots of ruminant
milk. So why would we question someone wanted their own species' milk? Warmly,
Nikki
