Hello Everyone
A mother of a week old baby has had an unknown reaction
to something during delivery of her daughter. She has an angry rash on her
thighs.
The skin specialist has said she has severe excema which may take weeks to
go away.
She requires medication to make it even slightly bearable so she can have
some sleep.
Loratadine has been prescribed and according to Dr Hale this drug has not
been reviewed. The father is a pharmacist. They are concerned that it may be
a problem for the baby.
Is there any more info on this? Is there a more suitable medication? She is
already using a topical steroid cream.
Thanks
