Hello, Lactnet. I am Heather Neil, aka Heather Welford, therefore on
Lactnet I should be, US-style, Heather Welford Neil. I am an NCT
breastfeeding counsellor (16 years) and an NCT tutor (7 years  - tutors
train other women to be bfcs). I am chair of local multi-disciplinary
breastfeeding promotion group in Newcastle upon Tyne, medium-sized city in
far North of England. Breastfeeding initiation rate in this region is about
50 per cent. I earn my living as a freelance writer and journalist, with
one of my main specialisms being women's and family issues especially
infant feeding and especially breastfeeding (natch). Three big kids - 18,
16, 13.
