I looked in my baby mags. and did not find anything from ross or Meed
Johnson but I do know from personal experience that they do have cutsie
little take home diaper bags that contain their product. In my mind that
is direct advertisingand the worst kind of all. In fact they have the
market on hospitals since their reps work in close relation with the
hospitals by providing breastfeeding booklets and other information
concerning breastfeeding ( Ross). I have talked wiht the local Ross rep
here in Pensacola and they clame to have a very good breastfeeding booklet,
and I did recieve one, but they do not inclue it with the "nice" little
diaper bags. Wonder why??? I think the cost of a 30 pg booklet is less
expensive than a 6oz can of formula. I remember that i once recieved in a
OB orientation package from a local hospital a cute little pregnancy
calendar, provided by Ross complete with cupon, that had little stickers
to mark baby's first movements, listening to hertbeat for !st time, and
first sonogram. Ialso recieved a whole case of formula, which I did not
ask for, from Ross. I dont even know how they got my name. Well that is
just my .02.
