A midwife called today to ask my opinion on a 3-day-old boy whose mother
reports 3 diapers with a bit of blood in it.  She insists that it is red
and not orange.  Midwife will be seeing baby tomorrow and has asked mom to
keep diapers for her to see.

If it is not urate crystals, is there a problem with a male baby's having a
spot of blood in his diaper at this age? Baby is not circumcised.
