Hi Joy
Tiredness in some epileptics can precipitate fits. Has the mother a
history of seizures when she is sleep deprived? How often does
she have fits?
Even if baby does wake at night, how long is mother likely to be
awake for? Just a feed and back to sleep (hopefully), so it shouldn't
make that much difference to the mother, especially if she tries to
get a nap during the day.
Sounds like over reaction to me, there must be millions of epileptic
mother who have fed babies without needing 8 hours sleep at night.
