Bracha,
this may not be thrush, it would be unusual for the breast to be painful
to the touch. Yes, thrush can occur in one breast only. But in this case
I would be waiting a bit longer to make a diagnosis of thrush. Are there
any symptoms of mastitis? or engorgement? incorrect attachment?
