There are no studies on bulemia/binging & purging and overactive MER that we are
aware of. My client with this disorder is now nursing her 3rd child, no longer
purging, and in therapy. She had no spontaneous or overactive MER's with this
child so far.
The colleague with bulemia and overactive MER is a seperate person, she had a
normal supply for several children when she was not binging and purging, then an
oversupply/forceful MER for subsequent children when her bulemia was active. She
was struggling in therapy when last we had contact. We agreed that this would be
a fertile field for formal study.
Does anyone else have any info on a possible connection between binging/purging
and spontaneous milk ejection or overactive letdown?
