<< Burlington Coat Factory Protest
I was very amused a few months back when there was the threat of the
Burlington Coat Factory protest because of a manager and saleswoman
harassing nursing mothers in the dressing room. However, I just came
across today an issue of a magazine that I forgot to send you all
information about. It's the "Baby Magazine" , "Compliments of Burlington Coat
Factory" The title: "Breastfeed or Bust. I wonder if this article was already
in the works or not at the time of the threatened breast-in? >>
I am the person who threatened the nurse-in...although I remmeber at the time
hoping the manager would back down so I wouldnt have to do it! I was
imagining trying to get my four yr old to nurse in public, for no "good
reason" that he could see...lol : )!!
This entire situation (in Little Rock, Ark) was a local one...it said nothing
about Burlington in general....I am so glad to hear about the pro-
breastfeeding article....Maybe the threat did have an effect, besides my
husband (long used to such activism) making me promise him that I wouldnt get
arrested.
Breast-In!! I love it.
