I wonder if this child has some mild neuro problem or torsion along the
dura? Many babies in need of cranial-sacral work (or osteopathic
manipulative therapy) cry when forced into flexion. If the dura is tight or
restricted, certain postures cause real and sometimes severe pain.

Fussing is one thing. Two of mine hated their car seats... one got bored
quickly, and the other was afraid when riding in the seat at night unless I
turned on the dome light so he could see me.  But screaming is something
different that needs careful exploration.
