dr. rob, the person who posted about being labelled a fanatic for "pushing car
seat use" is missing the point. she needs to get on the don't make people feel
guilty bandwagon.

i have been glancing at a book called "facts for life" published by unicef,
who and unesco obviously for use in foreign countries. for those of you who
haven't seen it, it is written very simply. there are prime messages and then
longer explanations. odd thing is, under breastfeeding, number four states
"bottle-feeding can lead to serious illness and death." pretty plain talk!
guess we just aren't up to such straight talk in the usa.

also, to add the names for nursing thread, my friend inadvertently invented a
new term i find useful, "breastweaning."
